Hippodrome Rough Riders
A magnificent electric carousel, an old-fashioned merry-go-round. It filled a building nearly 80 feet square. The revolving platform was 50 feet in diameter and the horses and other beasts that cavort over the glided course travel three abreast.Novelties in the way of cars for those who prefer. One of these, is in the form of a boat and, by an ingenious mechanism, is made to rock over imaginary waves. There is a commodious ladies' parlor with chairs and rockers for the accommodation of visitors. One particularly noticeable feature of the home of the Rough Riders was the quality of music. There was real music and hundreds of people crowded the building to hear it. There was an imported Gavioli Parisian Organ and a full orchestra.
