One hundred years ago an architect, named Charles Eliot, redesigned three miles of crescent coastline on his way to creating Americas first public beach. By the turn of the 20th century, the beach became popular not only for its natural beauty but for the magnitude of its amusement capacity.
Wonderland Park, The Oceanview and the Crescent Garden Ballrooms, The Hippodrome, The Cyclone and The Virginia Reel were only a few of the attractions that brought millions to this unique metropolitan playground.
