Canoeing in the Rumney Marshes can be a very enjoyable experience. But because of its location, canoe trips
can range from beginner level in quiet marsh creeks, to expert in the Tidal rips located at bridges and
constricted areas. In addition, trips must be planned with the tides and weather conditions in mind. (Too much
wind or a misjudged tide could create problems.) It is suggested that you take one of the scheduled trips
presented by the MDC, Friends of Rumney Marsh or the Saugus River Watershed Council.
