Spirit of Massachusetts a huge success at Revere Beach
The Revere Beach International Sand Sculpting Festival has once again come to an end but not before hundreds of thousands of visitors to Revere Beach were amazed by the skill, artistry and creativity of the worlds best Sand Sculptors. -Continued below…
1st Place Winner of the Solo Contest is Melineige Beauregard for her sculpture of “Open Your Mind and Let Your Spirit Fly”
The Revere Beach Partnership in collaboration with the City of Revere, the Department of Conservation and Recreation and the financial support of corporate sponsorships presented what can only be described as the very best of Sand Sculpting competition and exhibition. The Fireworks display on Saturday night was of course spectacular and as some have said “the absolute best ever”! This years Festival had more of everything than we’ve ever seen before. The food, the fun, the music, the attractions, the entertainment…something for everyone!
As a community Revere should be proud of the way in which this event was conducted and enjoyed by so many. The MA State Police, Revere Police, Revere Fire Department, Revere DPW, and countless other volunteers once again came together to make this a truly successful event.
The re-branding of this major event makes great sense as sculptors from around the world came to America’s First Public Beach, Revere Beach to compete, demonstrate and display their talents and original creativity for an audience of hundreds of thousands. Adults and the thousands of children in attendance were in awe as they watched these incredible creations take shape!
We congratulate the Winners and of course all of the competitors who came to Revere Beach and shared their great talents with us!
Please see some of those sculptures here and so many more images captured by our photographer Joe Siciliano and others who shared so much with us online.
